DocuPair Terms of Use

The terms you agree to by using DocuPair, including what the app can and cannot be relied upon for.

Last updated: 20 September 2026

Agreement

By installing or using DocuPair you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What DocuPair is

DocuPair is a document scanner for iPhone. You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it on devices you own or control, subject to Apple's Media Services Terms. The app and its content remain the property of Unsel Studio.

Free trial and purchase

DocuPair can be downloaded for free and used without limits for 7 days. After that, scanning and importing new documents needs a single, one-time purchase. It is not a subscription and never renews.

Viewing, searching, exporting and deleting your documents stays available after the trial, with or without the purchase.

The purchase is made through the App Store, is tied to your Apple Account and can be restored from within the app. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policy.

Scan quality and recognition

Scans depend on lighting, the camera and how the page is held. Automatic edge detection, text recognition and passport reading are aids, not guarantees, and they can make mistakes. Passport data is checked against the check digits printed in the document, but always confirm names, numbers and dates yourself before you rely on them.

Identity documents

You are responsible for scanning, storing and sharing identity documents lawfully, and only your own or those you are entitled to handle. A scan or PDF made with DocuPair is not an official, certified or notarised copy, and some organisations may not accept one.

When you send a copy of an identity document, consider adding a watermark that says who it is for and why, and protect the PDF with a password.

Your data is your responsibility

Your documents are stored only on your device and are deliberately not backed up by us or by the platform. We cannot recover documents lost to a lost, broken or reset phone or to deleting the app. Export copies of anything important.

App lock

The optional app lock helps keep other people out of the app. It does not replace the security of your phone: keep your device passcode or PIN private.

No warranty

DocuPair is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unsel Studio is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Changes

These terms may change as the app changes. The current version is always published at this address with its "last updated" date; continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
