By installing or using Kefe you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
What Kefe is
Kefe is a calorie and protein tracker for iPhone and Android. You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it on devices you own or control. The app and its content remain the property of Unsel Studio.
Not medical advice, please read
Kefe is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. Calorie budgets, burn estimates, protein targets, calibration and suggestions are estimates from general formulas and the data you enter. They are not a diagnosis, a treatment plan or a substitute for professional judgement.
Talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before changing your diet or weight, and in particular if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a health condition, take medication or have a history of eating disorders. Kefe is intended for adults aged 18 and over; weight-loss goals are not offered to people with a BMI below 18.5, and a target weight can never be below BMI 18.5.
Food and activity data
Product information from Open Food Facts is contributed by volunteers and may be incomplete or wrong. Coffee chain values are compiled from information the chains publish and may differ from what you are served. Home dishes are estimates from standard recipes. MET values are averages. Always check a label when accuracy matters to you, for example for allergies. Kefe does not provide allergen information.
App Store and Google Play
If you downloaded Kefe from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These terms add to it; where the two conflict, Apple’s agreement applies to the extent it must. Apple is not responsible for Kefe or for providing support for it.
If you downloaded Kefe from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply to the download and to purchases. Google is not responsible for Kefe or for providing support for it.
Trial and purchase
Kefe offers a free 21-day trial, after which the app becomes read-only until you buy the full version, a one-time purchase with no subscription. Viewing, exporting, settings and restoring purchases remain available after the trial. Purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play and are subject to their terms, including their refund processes. Purchases cannot be transferred between the App Store and Google Play.
Your data is your responsibility
Your data is stored on your device. We have no copy of it and cannot recover data lost to a broken, lost or reset device, or an encrypted backup whose password you have forgotten. Keep backups.
No warranty
To the extent the law allows, Kefe is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, for example under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unsel Studio is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Changes
These terms may change as the app changes. The current version is always published at this address with its “last updated” date; continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
